    THE GREAT POWER OF FAITH

Peace to you, dear friends of the Garden loved by the Lord.
In this month we wish to pray with you to the Lord to grow in the gaze of faith that he HERE has revealed to us. We are all, in most cases, inclined to evaluate, observe, decide and act on the basis of our human ideas and calculations, often devoid of the light that comes from our encounter with God. Human vision or divine vision? We recognize that it is not so easy to make the right discernment but that it is a gift to ask the Lord!
Saint Ignatius of Loyola in fact prayed: "Give me, Lord, to act as if everything depended on me, knowing that everything depends on You". The gift of free will that the Lord gives us must be used with all our responsibility, trusting and obeying the Father, with that "hope full of immortality" of which Scripture speaks (Wis 3,4).
If we contemplate what happened in this Garden, we see the Lord seeking with all his might (mind, heart, soul) the dialogue with the Father, entrusting himself and accepting his fatherly will as the supreme, all-heavenly will; this divine obedience passes through his humanity and leads him to be "shattered" (crushed) by the weight he is carrying on himself: the sin of the world! It is the drama of Gethsemane, in which if Jesus were not sustained by great trust in the Father he would not have given his life for us! He would have fled.
In fact, the threefold prayer (sign of fullness) that Jesus lives on this Rock, narrates to every man who listens to it and to each one of us the gift of himself to the Father. Through Him, we too can adhere to the Father’s will and trust Him. Jesus knew that his "Yes" would be the hand of God reaching out to every child in need of salvation and he did what was necessary. The Lord is the Eternal and sees in time every son who stretches his hands towards Him, is Father and rejoices at the thought of having us with Him, united forever in the Trinitarian Love.
Through the intercession of Mary Most Holy let us pray and never tire of asking the Lord also for the gift of peace, which must inevitably start from ourselves, from our heart, from where we live, so that we can then radiate to the body, to the members and throughout the world.
    The Lord bless you

    Hora Sancta

We are the sons of St. Francis, and we are THE custodians, according to the will of God, of one of the places that Jesus loved the most: the garden called GETHSEMANE. This is a unique place in the world. It is the place where the Lord manifested his Yes forever by being ready to enter where nobody else had ever entered, where he plunged into darkness, in the final battle against death, in which humanity has always ended up being a loser.
