Dear friends of the Garden of the Lord, peace to you. In these days of waiting for the gift of the Holy Spirit, from this mystical Garden, we contemplate with wonder the mystery of the Redemption that is manifested in Ascension and Pentecost. We said Garden... In fact, in the large portal of our Basilique, a large brass tree was artistically represented, with four branches screwed on themselves, and each of them guards an evangelist narrating the Gospel verse concerning Jesus in Gethsemane. This surprises wonderfully! We are in a Garden, there is the tree ... everything recalls the ancient garden of Eden in which God had placed there the tree of life and the tree of the knowledge of good and evil. If in that garden God had forbidden humanity to reach out to the tree of knowledge, in THIS garden we contemplate how God himself, in his Son, makes known his boundless love for humanity. It is as if God the Father, in his Beloved Son, in the Bread of the Angels, in the Good Shepherd who gives his life for the sheep, in the immolated Lamb, repeated to each of us: "Come, fear not, stretch out your hand, look at my wounds, put your finger in the sore and touch, do not be incredulous... It is Me! " (Jn 20:19-31). In this Holy Hour, contemplating the Presence of the Lord, let us always praise the Father for this superhuman Love! May the gift of the Holy Spirit guide us to his Garden to lead us to the whole Truth. May He guide humanity on the path of Peace. May the Lord bless you, Happy Pentecost

We are the sons of St. Francis, and we are THE custodians, according to the will of God, of one of the places that Jesus loved the most: the garden called GETHSEMANE. This is a unique place in the world. It is the place where the Lord manifested his Yes forever by being ready to enter where nobody else had ever entered, where he plunged into darkness, in the final battle against death, in which humanity has always ended up being a loser.
