TO GROW IN HIS REDEMPTIVE LOVE

Dear friends of Gethsemane, peace be with you from Jerusalem! On this first Thursday of September, we invite you to make yourselves small and be unceasing prayer for humanity that is hurt by injustice, by natural calamities and is still marked by the suffering of this pandemic that seems to change face continuously. "Making ourselves small..." we said... in the great confidence that God warmly welcomes our supplication.
We do not mean extraordinary things, but simply what we live, the daily life: our joys, sufferings, when we love, hope... or when we struggle, when we pray: offering everything to God. It may appear small and perhaps inadequate in the face of the manifold needs of humanity. But if we live in justice and faith, this smallness of ours can unite with the supreme and divine act of the Redemption which Our Lord Jesus Christ has accomplished once and for all. Good and love are "united" to the wise action of God who works and sees in secret. Each of us can collaborate, even at the limit of his own action, in the infinite and perpetual redemptive action of Jesus Christ!Let us live all this in the great hope and awareness that it is a precious prayer accepted by God the Father in communion with his Son! One day, when God wills, we too will appear before him and we will be able to say timidly: "Behold, Father, this is the gift you have given to me, this love is the fruit of your Son’s Love, accept my small part".
From this garden let us unite ourselves to the Lord’s prayer: may his Love grow, multiply and reach the whole of humanity. From this garden let us unite ourselves to the Lord’s prayer: may his Love grow, multiply and reach the whole of humanity.
    May the Lord bless you!

    Hora Sancta

We are the sons of St. Francis, and we are THE custodians, according to the will of God, of one of the places that Jesus loved the most: the garden called GETHSEMANE. This is a unique place in the world. It is the place where the Lord manifested his Yes forever by being ready to enter where nobody else had ever entered, where he plunged into darkness, in the final battle against death, in which humanity has always ended up being a loser.
