    THE ONLY MEDIATOR

In this Easter season, dear friends of the holy garden, the Lord invites us to taste ever more deeply the mystery of the Redemption. On these Sundays, we have heard how Jesus of Nazareth, the Crucified, is the glorious Christ, the Redeemer seated on the throne of God the Father (Heb 12:2). It is the Letter to the Hebrews at this time that speaks to us, with a monumental beauty, and even without explicitly mentioning the Gospel, it puts Jesus Christ at the centre in a unique and regal way!

The evangelists told us how the Risen One appeared to the eleven in the Upper Room, keeping the signs of the Crucified. This is wonderful! He appears to us as a glorious God, in his true body with those wounds of nails and spear that distinguish him: signs of his love for humanity! In fact He is the Mediator: on the one hand is with the Father, and is true God, but with all the baggage that characterizes our humanity, on the other is among us, as a true Man, with all that characterizes him in his divinity. It is surprising that in both cases he is the same Son of God marked and known as the Crucified: intercedes with the Father on behalf of humanity, and reveals to humanity the face of the Father. Sublime!

Now, to return to our little appointment of the Holy Hour, the Father, in his divine Providence, in the gift of the Son in the Blessed Sacrament, provided that we had the opportunity to speak again to the Incarnate Word, and be able to worship and love the Triune God and One. Let us live this dialogue with simplicity and passion, let us listen to his love, He who first listened to us and loved our humanity once and for all (Heb 9:11-12). May this divine liturgy be a prayer that rises to the throne of the Most High, through the one Mediator, who forever shows the Father the signs of love for humanity. May it be a prayer that implores peace for the whole world.

    Good prayer

    Hora Sancta

We are the sons of St. Francis, and we are THE custodians, according to the will of God, of one of the places that Jesus loved the most: the garden called GETHSEMANE. This is a unique place in the world. It is the place where the Lord manifested his Yes forever by being ready to enter where nobody else had ever entered, where he plunged into darkness, in the final battle against death, in which humanity has always ended up being a loser.
